with other fashionistas all over Britain, and fill your wardrobe with gorgeous new pieces without spending a single penny. Perfect! It's guilt free shopping at it's finest :)
helps push forward sustainable fashion by improving distribution and decreasing the quantity of clothes that end up in landfill sites. One girl's trash is another girl's treasure, after all!
and how it all works...
...Sounds amazing, right? The whole thing is completely free as you don't even need to pay to sign up - the only cost you'll ever have is posting your parcels, which is super cheap anyway. Plus totally worth it for all the beautiful free vintage clothes you'll be getting! The membership keeps growing and growing which means more and more clothes for you to choose from. Nice!
PS: I PROMISE my next few posts will be outfit posts! There's so many I want to share with you! My style seems to be getting more & more 'grungey'... x

CLOTHES, DRINKS AND DANCING AT PUNK! posted at 5:07 PM
Ok, before I start this post I think I should issue a warning that this post is VERY image heavy (like my last one) and a little text heavy too... Sorry! But I have so much to share, I just couldn't cut anything out! Editing is a slighttt problem for me if you haven't already noticed! But now that's out of the way :) let's continue!
Last week I went to a clothes swapping event & club night at
PUNK, organised by Tampax Pearl as part of their 'Mother Nature' ad campaign. You probably already know about this from my previous posts and the competition I ran at the end of November to win a place at the event - one of my winners (Pippa from
Clashing Time) was sadly not able to go as she was under 18, but Kavita from
iheartvintagex and Charlotte from
The Tea Drinking English Rose along with her two friends were able to attend. I also invited my amazing friends Sam and Rachel, but Sam was feeling really ill and decided not to come. Rachel and I had an incredible time though, along with Kavita who travelled all the way from Sheffield to London (her very first visit to the city) on her own! She even came to stay the night at Sam's house with us, and we had lots of fun. I didn't get to sleep til 8am the next morning!
Seeing as I haven't done an outfit post in a while, I thought I'd combine one with my post. So here's a photo of my outfit (New Look black lace dress, beige lace up booties, sheer black 'pop socks', long silver cross necklace) along with photos of Rachel and my competition winners! Not to forget Mother Nature herself :)

Posing for my outfit photo before the event!

Kavita and me with Mother Nature! The night started with lots of nibbles (including the nicest cupcakes
ever), free drinks and clothes swapping. Unfourtunatley me, Rachel and Kavita were in the toilets fixing our hair & makeup so missed the start of it and all the best clothes were gone! But we still managed to grab a few things. Kavita was especially lucky and found a gorgeous black lace blazer and vintage white pumps.

Me and my free drink - one of many!

There were so many lovely fashion bloggers there and I met so many people - too many to list - but spent most of my night with KB from
I Want You to Know, Carrie from
Wish Wish Wish and her friend Lucy from
Snippets of Shiny Thoughts, Reena from
Fashion Daydreams, Amy from
Wolf Whistle, and Jenny from
The Style PA. Plus Rachel and Kavita of course!

Rachel, drag queen, Kavita...bet you're wondering about the drag queen sat with Jenny & Reena and posing with Rachel & Kavita! The best drag queen EVER! Just look at these dance moves:

...Wish I could do that, haha! The rest of the night was spent drinking lots, dancing lots, and posing for lots of photos!

Posing with Kavita!

Just look at those pouts! haha :)

Love Kavita in this one!

SHOEEEEES! And Lucy's gorgeous tights

KB, Carrie and Rachel having a dance! The venue itself was lovely and we had access to their VIP area too. The decor was beautiful and the club was quite small and exclusive - the perfect size in my opinion. The music was fantastic, and the two female DJs were great! Not to mention very stylish :)

And although it's completely irrelevant, I couldn't end the post without a photo of this man I met...

...He claimed his coat was a baby! And wouldn't let me leave the bar without taking a photo of him with his precious 'Christopher-Boo'
If you actually managed to read all that, THANK YOU! Promise that's my last long post for a while! ♥

NEW LOOK SS10 PRESS DAY posted at 12:43 AM
Jeeeeez, another 1am post? Sorry! I meant to do this earlier but got distracted listening to/watching Taylor Momsen's band 'The Pretty Reckless' on youtube - they're amazing! Then I got even more distratced searching for Taylor's latest outfits... I don't have many 'style icons', but Taylor Momsen is definitley one of them. In fact, she's THE style icon for me! So inspiring! But gosh, here am I getting all distracted by Taylor again... This post is supposed to be about New Look! Not Taylor Momsen! I'll save that for another day!
So, going back to the point (!) I attended the New Look SS10 press day last week and was completely blown away! I know it's taken me a while to get round to posting about it, but I took so many photos and they were impossible to edit down. Even after some painful cuts were made, I'm still left with 23 and just can't edit them down any more! Sorry! There was just so much texture, so much embellishment, so much variation... The best New Look collection I've ever seen! I'm so excited for it to hit stores in the last week of January.
Everything was so beautiful, fashion forward, and suprisingly good quality. Plus the prices seem to have gotten even LOWER believe it or not! I could go on and on forever but I'll let you take a look for yourself - all I have left to say is Topshop, watch out! To see all the photos I took check out my album on Facebook by clicking

Oh, and here's a little sneak peek of my next post (up tomorrow) on the Tampax Pearl swishing party/club night at PUNK...

...That's me and Kavita from
I Heart Vintage feeling up Mother Nature! Haha! I'll reply to all your comments on my last post tomorrow when it's not 1am and I'm a lot less tired! Thanks for all your super sweet comments, encouragement & support. I love you all so much and those comments meant so much to me ♥
